Montrose All School Reunion
The Montrose All School Reunion was held July 5-6, 2013. This was the first all school reunion since 2000. Thank you to everyone that made the event a success. Also, thank you to the Spud Fest committee for organizing the community events throughout the weekend. This was the seventh year of the annual community event
Mary Lou (Jacobs) Wiebersick (class of 1968), Sarah (Wiebersick) Weber (class of 1994), & Donna (Jacobs) Jorgensen (class of 1961) practice the school song during the school visitation Friday afternoon.
Rosie Peterson stands next to a tribute to her husband & long time teacher & administrator Hobart “Pete” Peterson. Pete was unable to attend because of his health condition. Also in the background is the Girls’ State welcome that Rosie prepared.
The junior class and their parents organized and served the Friday evening meal of burgers, brats, & hotdogs for a Prom fundraiser at the Legion. Pictured are Dalton Combs, Andrew Raap, John Hoiten, Tyler Cleveland, Taylor Miles, Ross Roling, Jon Garrett, & Matthew Scotting.
Alumni and community members gathered at the Legion Friday evening. Outdoor Karaoke was held at the Office Bar later in the evening.
A Kiddie Parade was held Saturday morning. Children dressed in Irish apparel and carried signs with the names of their parents or grandparents and their years of graduation. Pictured are Addison & Nora Gordon

Pictured is Lucille (Pearson) Eckstrom (class of 1938) who was our most veteran alumni in attendance at the banquet. The oldest alumni is believed to be Marian (Swanson) Schmidt-Williams (class of 1932) who was unable to attend but did send a note and four generation photo.
Approximately 475 attended the Saturday evening banquet held in the high school gym. A dance was held at the Legion following the banquet.
Lenice (Morrison) Wingen (class of 1958) served as the Master of Ceremonies for the Saturday evening banquet.
John Pedersen was the speaker for the Saturday evening banquet. Mr. Pedersen started his long career in education by teaching & coaching in Montrose (1969-1973). John’s wife, Dianne, also taught 1st grade in Montrose.
