Recommended School Supplies 2012-2013
 
 
JK/Kindergarten:  Paint shirt (an old work shirt is fine); a rug or mat for rest time; box of crayons (no more than 24); Fiskar scissors; at least three #2 pencils; large box of Kleenex; an eraser (soft pink or green); small supply box for storing most of these articles; school bag for papers; bottle of Elmer’s glue; 2 glue sticks; 2 dry erase board marker; & headphones (no ear buds please) in a Ziplock bag.  Please label everything with your child’s name.
 
Grade 1:  3 two pocket folders; 5 regular wide-lined spiral notebooks; large box of Kleenex; 12 pencils; pen; box of 16-24 crayons; pencil box; bottle of white glue (not stick); scissors (pointed); book bag; eraser (soft pink or green); box of 8 markers; & small sticky notes (one pad at a time); 4 dry erase board markers; & headphones in a Ziplock bag.
 
Grade 2: (2) three-hole punched folders; (2) regular folders; (3) spiral notebooks; scissors; (1) 1-inch 3-ring binder; 12 pencils (only yellow #2 allowed); (4) dry-erase markers; dry-erase board eraser (an old sock would be fine); box of 16-24 crayons; pencil box; bottle of glue; book bag; (1) eraser (soft pink or green); (1) box of 8 markers; sticky notes (1 pad at a time); large box of Kleenex; headphones in a Ziploc bag.
 
Grade 3:  #2 pencils, a large eraser; pencil box; colored pencils; crayons; washable markers; highlighter; ruler with inches and centimeters; Elmer’s glue bottle and glue stick; scissors, (2) large box of Kleenex; (5) wide-rule notebooks, (4) two-pocket folders; pencil eraser tops; & headphones in a Ziplock bag; 1 pkg. of loose leaf wide ruled paper; (2) 1 inch 3-ring binders, (1) vinyl 2-pocket folder, (1) composition notebook; & (3) dry-erase markers.
 
Grade 4:  Eraser; crayons; colored pencils; washable markers; yellow highlighter; #2 pencils; red pen; ruler with inches and centimeters; scissors;  2-two pocket folders; an inexpensive basic (+, -, /, x) calculator; package of loose leaf wide rule paper; 2 one-inch binders, 2 composition notebooks;  large box of Kleenex; bottle glue & glue stick; small sticky notes (one pad at a time); 4 dry-erase markers; & headphones in a Ziplock bag.
 
Grade 5:  1 pkg of wide-lined paper; 3” three-ring binder; 2 – two pocket folders (plain or colored – no designs); 2 wide-ruled notebooks; pencil top erasers; crayons; color pencils, pencil box; ruler (that has centimeters); pencils; scissors; glue and glue stick; box of 16 makers; blue erasable pens;  an inexpensive basic (+, -, x, /) calculator; 1 large box of Kleenex;  3 black dry erase board markers; small sticky notes (one pad at a time); & headphones in a Ziplock bag.
 
 
Resource Room:  Large box of Kleenex; pencils and erasers for pencil tops.
 
*Grades that are required to bring notebooks should not bring Trapper Keepers.  All backpacks must be able to fit in student’s locker.
 
*All grade school students must have a pair of shoes to be worn only in the gym during PE class.  These may be older tennis shoes that are clean.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Middle School (grades 6-7 & 8)
General Supplies – Flash drive, Ear phones or ear buds for computer use, highlighters, colored pencils, Kleenex, pencils, pens, notebooks, (2 per class) Folders (1 per subject) scissors, glue, markers, erasers, and ruler. Pencil/art box, book covers or brown paper bags to use as book covers for each class.
Math - scientific calculator, notebooks (6 one subject notebooks) 2 dry erase markers.
PE – t-shirt, shorts, towel, non-mark gym shoes
Band – black Speedsters marching shoes (grades 7&8 only) (purchased through school), black socks, black pants/white shirt (concert uniform), reeds, valve oil, or drumsticks(two sets Ralph Hardimon marching sticks, one set concert sticks)
Choir – notebook, dress pants (Khakis or dress slacks), dress shirt (polo, button-down, nice blouse), dress shoes (black or brown shoes, no flip flops or sneakers)
Science—(7th grade) Notebook paper for the entire school year, folder or binder for organizing materials
 
High School (grades 9-12)
General Supplies - Ear phones or ear buds for computer use, highlighters, colored pencils, Kleenex, pencils, pens, scissors, markers, erasers, & a ruler. (The school will provide computer laptop sleeves that the computers WILL BE kept in.)
Algebra I – spiral notebook for math notes, scientific calculator
Pre- Algebra– spiral notebook for math notes, scientific calculator
Geometry– spiral notebook for math notes, scientific calculator, compass, protractor
Algebra 2– spiral notebook for math notes, scientific calculator, compass, protractor
Trig– spiral notebook for math notes, scientific calculator (graphing calculator – optional but recommended TI-83 or TI 84), compass, protractor
Precalc– spiral notebook for math notes, scientific calculator (graphing calculator -  optional but recommended TI 83 or TI 84), compass, protractor
English I/Literature – spiral bound notebook for notes, folder for English I/Literature materials, flash drive for saving and transferring documents and projects
English II/Speech – spiral bound notebook for notes, folder for English II/Speech materials, 3x5 or 4x6 lined note cards for speeches, flash drive for saving and transferring documents and projects
English III/American Literature - spiral bound notebook for notes, folder for English III/American Literature materials, flash drive for saving and transferring documents and projects
English IV/World Literature – spiral bound notebook for notes, folder for English IV/Literature materials, flash drive for saving and transferring documents and projects.
Science (all classes) – notebook & folder, calculator (graphing calculator—optional but helpful)
Chemistry—Biology II—students will be required to have 2 separate notebooks (one for their lab reports and the second for general classroom use)
PE & Weight Training – t-shirt, shorts, towel, non-mark gym shoes
Basic Carpentry—each student is required to provide wood needed to build three separate projects and they are required to provide a project that needs to be refinished (ex dining room table or a dresser)
Band – Black Speedsters marching shoes (purchased through school), black socks, black pants/white shirt (concert uniform), reeds, valve oil, or drumsticks (two sets Ralph Hardimon marching sticks, one set concert sticks)
